If you want someone to join your professional network on LinkedIn, you can send them an invitation. It's similar to a friend request on Facebook. When they accept your invitation, they will become your 1st-degree connection. You should invite people you know and trust since only 1st-degree connections are given access to the primary email address on your account. Follow these steps to invite or connect with people on LinkedIn.
How to invite or connect with people on LinkedIn
Step 1: Go to https://www.linkedin.com and log into your account.
Step 2: Go to the profile of the person you want to connect.
You can search for their profile by entering their name into the search box at the top.
Step 3: Click Connect under their profile picture.
Step 4: Click Done.
If you want to add a note to personalize your invitation, click Add a note. Then, enter your note and click Done.
Your invitation has been sent!
You can also go to the People You May Know page to find people to connect, just click the Connect button below their profile photo. The only thing left to do is wait for that person to accept your invitation. Good luck!
