
How to deactivate your Instagram account

If you deactivate your Instagram account, all of your content including your profile, photos, videos, comments, etc. will be hidden until you reactivate it. This article shows you how to disable your Instagram account temporarily. If you decide to never use Instagram again, you can consider deleting your Instagram account permanently.
How to disable your Instagram account

You can't disable your account from within the Instagram app. You need to go to https://www.instagram.com/ and log into your Instagram account from a computer or mobile browser.
You can only disable your Instagram account once a week.
Step 1: Go to https://www.instagram.com and log into your account.
Step 2: Tap or click the profile icon in the upper-right corner of the page to go to your Instagram profile.
Step 3: Tap or click Edit Profile.
Step 4: Scroll to the bottom and tap or click Temporarily disable my account.
Step 5: Tap or click the box next to Why are you disabling your account? and select a reason from the drop-down menu.
Step 6: Enter your password.
Step 7: Tap or click Temporarily Disable Account.
Step 8: A confirmation message may appear, click Yes.
Your Instagram account is now disabled. If you want to reactivate it, simply log back in.
