How to change a Hotmail password

Step 1: Log into your Hotmail account.

Step 2: Click on your profile picture in the upper-right side of the page and select View account.

Step 3: Click More actions. It's right under your Hotmail address.

Step 4: Select Change password from the drop-down list.

Step 5: Since you are attempting to change your security information, you will be asked to verify your identity via your alternate email address/phone number or by typing your current password. Follow the on-screen instructions. 

Step 6: Enter your current password into the first box and the new password into the other boxes to confirm it.

You can also choose the Make me change my password every 72 days option.

Step 7: Click Save when you're done.

Congratulations! Your password has been changed successfully! You may now log in with your new password.
