
How to connect Outlook with Gmail

You must first configure Gmail to work with Microsoft Outlook by enabling IMAP in Gmail.
Step 1: Go to Gmail and log into your account.
Step 2: Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Settings.
Step 3: Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
Step 4: Click Enable IMAP in the IMAP Access section.
Step 5: Scroll to the bottom and click Save Changes.
Now you can add your Gmail account to Outlook.
Setup Gmail in Microsoft Outlook 2016
Step 1: Open the Microsoft Outlook app on your computer.
Step 2: Click File and select Add Account.
Step 3: Enter the Gmail email address that you want to synchronize with Microsoft Outlook 2016.
Step 4: Click Connect.
Step 5: Enter your app password.
Step 6: Click Connect at the bottom of the window.
Step 7: Wait for Gmail to integrate into your Outlook app.
Step 8: Click OK.
Setup Gmail in Microsoft Outlook 2013
Step 1: Open Outlook 2013 on your device.
Step 2: Click File and select Account Settings.
Step 3: Click New.
Step 4: Select Email Account then click Next.
Step 5: Select Manual Setup or Additional Server Types and click Next.
Step 6: Select Pop or IMAP and click Next.
Step 7: Now enter some information including:
- Your Name
- Email Address
- Account Type: IMAP
- Incoming mail server: imap.Gmail.com.
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.Gmail.com
- User Name: Your Gmail email address including @gmail.com.
- Password: Your Gmail password.
Step 8: Click More Settings.
Step 9: Click the Outgoing Server tab.
Step 10: Check the box next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
Step 11: Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
Step 12: Click the Advanced tab.
Step 13: Enter exactly the following information:
- Incoming server (IMAP): 993
- Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL
- Outgoing server (SMTP): 465
- Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL
Step 14: Click OK.
Step 14: Click Next.
Step 15: Wait for Outlook to test the connection.
Step 16: Click Close when the test is successful. If it doesn't work, you can double-check your entries.
Step 17: Click Finish.
