How to open a Snap without them knowing
Well, you can do that with ease by using Airplane Mode on your Android or iOS devices. Here are the details. Note that the below instructions work for video snaps, photo snaps, and chat messages.
Step 1. When you receive a new snap or chat message on the platform, simply open the Snapchat app on your device, then swipe from the camera tab in order to navigate to the Conversations tab.
Step 2. Allow the snap or chat message to load if it has not fully loaded yet. When it’s 100% loaded, you will see a New Snap label (if it is a snap) or a New Chat label (if it is a chat message) under the name of your friend.
Step 3. Now, it’s time to put your mobile device in airplane mode. This way, your device will disconnect from the Internet.
- If you are using an iOS device, simply reveal the control center by swiping up from the bottom of your screen. Next, tap the airplane icon to turn it on.
- If you are using an Android device, reveal your quick settings by swiping down from the top of your screen, and then tap the airplane to turn it on.
Once finished, your device now has no internet, making it safe to read your friend’s chat message or the snaps you want to view.
Step 4. Go back to the app and open the message you want to read or the Snap you want to view.
Because you’re technically offline, no one knows you are reading the message or viewing the Snap.
Step 5. Make sure you clear the Snapchat cache and close the app before turning airplane mode off and reconnecting to the internet.
To do so, go to Snapchat Settings (by tapping your profile icon, then tapping the gear icon in the upper right corner of your profile tab).
On Snapchat Settings, tap Clear Cache, then Clear All (on iOS) or Continue (on Android). Finally, tap Okay to confirm.
Step 6. Now, it’s time to turn airplane mode off.

That’s how to open a Snap without them knowing. Easy, right?
To test whether this method works, you can use two different Snapchat accounts, with one sending a message or snap to the other. Then, simply follow the above instructions using the recipient account, and then see whether or not the sender account sees the Delivered label (instead of the Opened label). If it just shows the "Delivered" label, that means the method does work. You can do this by either creating a test Snapchat account or getting a friend to test the method with you.
And that’s everything for this post; Geeks Nation hopes you like it.
