How to Post on Reddit

Reddit is a popular web content rating and discussion website. As of 2018, it had up to 542 million monthly visitors. However, Reddit's interface may appear confusing and unnavigable to new users. Don't worry. This article shows you how to post on Reddit. It's easy!

How to post on Reddit

Step 1: Go to Reddit and log into your account.

Step 2: Click Create Post in the upper-right corner of the page.

Step 3: Choose a community to select where you’d like your link to appear.

You can post to either Your profile or a subreddit.

To find a subreddit, you will need to enter the name of a subreddit or the topic of your submission into the Search communities box.

Then, select the subreddit's name from the resulting drop-down list. 

Step 4: Select the post type that you want to create:

1. Link - To post a link. 
2. Post - To create a text-only post.
3. Image & Video - To upload a photo or video.

Step 5: This process may differ depending on the type of post that you want to create:

1. Link - Enter the title and the URL of the link that you want to link.

2. Post - Type a title and a text (optional) for your content.

3. Image & Video: Type a title and click Upload. Then, select the image or video that you'd like to upload from your computer and click Open.

Step 6: Click Post.

Note: It's a good idea to go to the subreddit page that you are going to create a post and read the posting rules on the right side of the page. This helps to make sure that you are abiding by the content policy and standards.
