
How to recover a deleted Yahoo account

This article shows you how to recover or reactivate a Yahoo! Mail account that was deleted by your request or inactivity. You need to have a recovery email or phone number registered with your Yahoo! account to recover it.
Is it possible to recover a deleted Yahoo! Mail account?
You can reopen your account as long as it was closed within about the last 40 days (the last 90 days for accounts registered in New Zealand or Australia, and the last 180 days for accounts registered in Brazil or Taiwan).
You can't recover accounts that have been inactive for more than 365 days.
It may take up to 24 hours for your account to be reactivated after Yahoo receives your request.
How to recover a deleted Yahoo account?
Step 1: Go to https://login.yahoo.com/forgot?.
Step 2: Type your Yahoo email address or phone number in the text box.
Step 3: Click Continue.
Step 4: Your backup email or phone number will be partially displayed. You will be asked to enter missing digits or letters to confirm that phone number or email address is yours. Type the correct digits or letters then click Submit.
Step 5: If you have access to the email address or phone number listed on the screen, click Yes, send me an Account key. If you don't have access to the email or the phone displayed, click I don't have access then click Start Over. You can try entering another email address or phone number to recover your account.
Step 6: Check your email or text message for Yahoo Account Key Code.
Step 7: Type the Account Key in the text box.
Step 8: Click Verify or Continue.
Step 9: Select Create a new password.
Step 10: Enter a new password into the first enter and enter it again into the second box to make sure you've typed it correctly.
Step 11: Click Continue and you are all done.
